You want to get your child some LEGO this Christmas but are not sure which set to get them? Why not just get a bucked containing 405 different pieces. The LEGO Ultimate Building Set is a great inexpensive way to buy a bucket containing LEGO pieces of many different shapes and size to add to your collection or as a starter pack.
Along with the usual blocks you also get minifigures, doors and windows for your buildings, wheels for your vehicles and a building plate.

The instructional pamphlet has building plans for five different models as well as pictures of twenty five more that you could build. Some of the models that you can build from the instructions include a house, helicopter and car.
The best thing about buying it in this tub is that the pieces can be put back and stored away easily. The lid also has a see-through part so that you can see your pieces without having to open it.
Overall it’s a good starter set. You will probably need more LEGO blocks down the track so that you have more building options so it’s worth looking at getting other generic set such as the Basic Bulk Set or the Builders of Tomorrow set once you’ve exhausted all the building opportunities of this one.
Or if you need extra pieces you can buy them individually at places like lego.com which is a much more budget friendly option than buying themed sets.
Generally though this is a great cost-effective way of getting a lot of LEGO for a small amount of money.
Age Groups
We think ages and four and up would love playing with this set.
Price
The RRP is $29.99 but you can often pick this up for under $24.
