Another classic Christmas gift this year (which we have featured previous years as well) is the Fisher Price Babys First Blocks toy from the Brilliant Basics range.
The toy comes with ten colourful shaped blocks that baby can put into the bucket through the holes in the lid or directly into it if they prefer.
The reason why we like this over other similar toys of its kind are that the box comes with a carry handle so it can easily be picked up and carried around by baby, and also that the blocks are easily stackable on their own as well (which is what my baby seems to like doing – building up a tower and then knocking it down).
One thing that many reviewers have noted and we agree with, is that the lid does not fit snuggly onto the bucket and is easily knocked off. Whether this was intentional by Fisher Price or a design flaw is unclear, but it doesn’t impede my child’s play in any way.
It’s well made, easy to clean and stores away easily.
Age groups
Six months and up.
Price.
The recommended retail for this toy is $12.99 but most retails have it for $10.00
